Our room was compact and had everything we required plus it was very quiet so we slept well. However it is located right behind the railway station so when you walk out the front door there are guys sleeping rough and there is a grotty underpass you have to use to get into the main part of Cannes. In retrospect I would blow the budget and go for an hotel on the front for a more glitzy Cannes experience! The Best Western Cannes Riviera hotel however was fine, the room was compact but quiet, the staff were fine, the breakfast was ok though we were dive bombed by pigeons when we sat out. They were a bit mean when replenishing supplies for the bathroom and tea tray. The pool on the roof was clean and there were comfortable loungers. Overall it was ok for the price but not a pleasant location particularly when returning late at night.

The hotel is really at a good place. The room was little small but we had no towel in the room for a long long time because they washed them all together. I hope that is not always like that... I didn't eat the breakfast there so I can't give my opinion.

After reading a number of reviews I decided to stay in the Cannes Riviera and was not disappointed with the hotel. Check in was fast courteous and professional, breakfast was the usual choices of meat, cheeses and breads and was more than enough to start the day. All in all I would stay here again and have qualms in doing so.

Stayed here two nights as part of a coach tour of the Riviera.
Traffic noise was not a problem with the windows shut, and air conditioning made sleeping easy. We did not experience any interuptions from inside the hotel. I should point out that a fellow traveller who occupied an adjoining room did experience traffic noise because, he alleged. the double glacing was faulty. Our room No, 525 which overlooked the main road and station, was adequate for our needs., with a king sized bed, (actually two single matresses well fitted together), a reasonable sized bathroom with bath including a glass panneled shower and a winged hand basin which was able to accommodate two toilet bags. Tea/coffee making facilities are not provided automatically but are supposedly available on request. However, aparently the hotel has only six trays. We used our own travelling kettle.
Breakfast is served in a crowded breakfast room, and is definitely continental, fruit juice, tea/coffee, toast, sliced cheese and salami, cereal. etc. Anything cooked is extra at an exhorbitant price eg 2Euro for a boiled egg! Eating al fresco in the garden is possible but the seats are rather uncomfortable, fretted cast iron with no cushions.
As for Cannes, prices are unbelievable. We were travelling on to San Remo in Italy where we found prices a bit more reasonable.
