I stayed at the Amarante Hotel for 6 nights and was very pleased with my stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is central, with easy access to the Croisette, shops, etc... The romm was very well appointed with flat screen TV, minibar, bathrobes, slippers and a nice plate of macarons! The breakfast buffet is simply extraordinary with a large variety of baked goods, crepes, breads, cereal, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yogurt... Having rented a vehicle, I appreciated the free underground parking. The hotel is also located very near the quaint provencal village of Le Cannet, offering stunning views over the bay of cannes. I would definitely stay at the Amarante again. The Front Office manager, Silvi, was particularly welcoming, very helpful and professional. I've stayed at other, overpriced hotels in Cannes and the Amarante is, by far, the best value in town!

stayed here 28th june to 5th july. our room was lovely, quiet, comfortable and loved the dressing gown and slippers provided! didn't eat in as meals, especially breakfast were expensive and we wanted to explore restaurants in town. it rained 1 night so we ate at the mexican over the road - lovely meal and super service. reception staff efficient but not particularly friendly but room was cleaned and towels changed every day, sheets changed at least 3 times in 1 week. swimming pool is small but lovely at the end of the day after a walk or the beach. overall very pleasant stay and got an amazing deal through expedia.

We found a good price for this hotel and decided to try it. The hotel looks very nice, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was very nice. The pool is not a real swimming pool. It is a little bit bigger than a bath tub, but they have a very good deal to use the beach of a 5 star hotel. We liked the beach. The hotel is away from the sea, not in the center.

Located at an extremely busy road, for us it was perfectly well accessible by car to and from the highway. When you arrive, the first impression is not too bad: the reception area and hall seem ok and the staff is very polite and friendly. But once you enter the scruffy, little and dark room, you understand that 4 stars in France is a different category. All furniture were run down and you could hardly move inside the room. The carpet was so filthy that it disgusted me to walk barefoot. And the wardrobe was so tiny that we had to keep everything inside our luggage. But then: Where to store the two suitcases?? We were hopping around the open suitcases on the floor in order to get to the bathroom. And here, although all very clean and no mold, the tiny and tired looking bathroom was just the answer to the room.
The swimming pool (which we thought to use to relax in the morning before attending our meetings) turned out to be a water hole in the back yard, tucked in between several high apartment buildings overlooking the entire pool are. No place for leisure or anyone seeking for privacy. Don't believe the loveley pictures.
In a nutshell, I don't want to go back ever again, although the hotel was cleaner than many others I've seen in France. Yet,I expect something else of 4 stars than that.
