The hotel is a little dated and perhaps screams the 1980s, however, it is central - just a 5-10min stroll to the beach and the nearby restaurants. We were on the side which was away from the flyover, but the hotel is next to a main road and I guess that rooms there will be pretty noisy!
On the plus side, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms big, although the shower is not all that great. The decor is pretty standard and dated, but they have a balcony (perhaps the views aren't all that great though!)
The hotel lift is a scream. You can fit about 2 people in when breathing normally - the moment you have 3, it's like a game of sardines!
The price is fine and for a short weekend break in Cannes where you're going to be burning a hole in your purse anyway (goodness knows what on, but it flows like water!) it's clean, central and adequate. Make no mistakes, there is nothing about being in the lap of luxury here - so I don't recommend it for a romantic getaway or anything like that - but it's fine for a weekend with friends.
