Great staff, nice place, great location. We found the hosts to be really helpful and the location great. Excellent value for money!

We planned a two-day sightseeing trip to Avignon and were seeking a convenient, clean and well-located hotel at a reasonable cost. Because we spent most of our time touring this magnificent medieval city the Hotel Boquier was perfect. We were met by the owner Sylvie who helped us choose great restaurants and must-see sights. Our room was comfortable and very clean and although it was small by North American standards, the high-beamed ceilings made it seem larger. The breakfast offers great value and was served in a very charming room. The location of the hotel is just off the main street and within easy walking distance to the Palais des Papes, the Pont d'Avignon and the Place de l'Horloge. We would stay here again.

Recently returned from a four-night stay at this very well run family 2 star hotel. The location is excellent, with all the sights as well as transport links and good restaurants within easy walking distance. The nights (in the 'African room' on the top floor) were very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast buffet was small but perfectly formed for my tastes (fresh fruit, good coffee, fresh bread, cheese, yoghurt, croissant, home-made jam, etc.). The owners were really welcoming and all the staff I encountered were friendly and efficient. This is not an anonymous, pristine chain hotel; for the price, it is excellent value for money and I would be glad to stay here again.

Location: excellent, one block away from Rue de la Republique and around the corner from tourist office.
Rooms: were adequate but could use new mattresses.
Service: Internet claims are dubious however when the Internet was not available in one of our rooms we were switched to another room with no up charge even though it was amore expensive room. Owners were friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of travel books on France in the lobby.
