You couldn't ask for a better place, and very economical, to stay in Avignon. Easy walk, less that 3 minutes, to the City Central train station (Not the TVG) and just outside the city walls. A very close walk to the center of Avignon with all of the sidewalk restaurants and the Palace of the Popes. The Tourist Bureau was less than a five minute walk and had numerous tours and suggestions of places to see. We did not rent a car and never needed one. We had a room on the second floor with a door that opened onto the balcony that ran the length of the building providing a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine talking over what we had seen that day. Although on a fairly busy street, it was not noisy at night with the balcony door closed. Philippe and Emmanuelle were there to suggest places to see and restaurants to dine. It was our first trip to Avignon and Southern France and was totally enjoyable.
