I had occasion to visit Avignon at short notice. Normally using a B & B hotel, on this occasion it was full. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and location of this hotel, near to the railway station (5) mins walk as is the centre of town. Extremely good value and very clean and tidy. My only criticism is breakfast. Having paid the extra for the optional breakfast, it did not compare at all with B & B. Not even croissants! There was the usual coffee and yoghurts, but no meat. Compared to the B & B, where you can have egss and bacon and croissants as well as all you have at theis hotel, I was a little disappointed. However if you don't eat much for breakfast, there's no better value in Avignon.

We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff; especially the manager went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possbile. The room was spacious and perfectly clean. The bathroom needs an upgrade and the breakfast become boring after the second day. The breakfast on offer does not have anything whole grain, sugar free or low fat (except the yogurt) for the health concerned guest.

This hotel, situate near a brother Ibis it's in a very nice positions, just out the city wall, in fron a gate. Very near the river and the city center. Public parking at 100 mt. Standard quality Etap Hotel, wuth breakfast room, bar and spacious room. I suggest to you!

My expectation towards the Etap Hotel Avignon Centre was to get an inexpensive place to stay for my nights in Avignon while doing day trips in the area around the city and spending the evenings in the historic city of Avignon. The hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations :-) they were all very friendly and could help out in english and even german. And they were very helpfull, they even changed my reserved room from 3rd floor to the ground floor so that i could keep my mountainbike within the room, because parking is only possible on the nearby public parking lot, which is really near the hotel and in the evenings it was no problem to get a parking space there. I would always book that hotel again if i hopefully will return to Avignon one day. Great vicinity for day trips and fantastic city for going out at night :-)
