Had a lovely stay at the Lavarin. Staff were very helpful, rooms were comfortable and bed nice. The pool area is spotless and the pool very nice. The only thing that lets this down is if you are planning on spending a lot of time in Avignon and dont have a car. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from the city centre and the taxi's are not cheap in this part of the world so if you want to be exploring Avignon a lot then I'd stay nearer the city centre. The hotel is also quite expensive for simple items like water - pick some up before you get here. We had a great stay here and were quite happy to stop by the pool for a day and explore the town for a day.

We stayed at the Hotel Du Lavarin on a trip through Provence as we visited Avignon. The staff was delightful and helped with directions and a dinner reservation.

The room was newly renovated with a wonderful shower, so rare in France. The price was moderate and we had a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel managers were extremely cheerful, friendly & helpful. The hotel lobby, resturant and rooms were in clean and decorated in a very fresh and modern style. We really enjoyed our time there.

The hotel was a bit far from the main city center, but the hotel did offer rental bicycles and had a secure car park. Don't try to walk to the city center as it is a bit far on foot. Instead, use thier taxi pick up service, bike or rental car. Also, there is no nearby supermarkets to the hotel, so when you go into town pick up any essential or grocaries you may need.

For food, generally in France they don't have much for breakfast and this hotel is not different. Also, the meal selection in the hotel is a bit pricey... so while your travelling there its better to have your meal in the town center as there is a much bigger selection of menus.

Good Hotel,
take a superior room if you can, there´s a minor difference of price and it is much more confortable than the standard one.
Correct breakfast and nice staff.
