We had not booked ahead, but had stayed in an Ibis the previous three days, and so were looking for a similar experience.
We arrived late into the evening - and had some difficulty locating the hotel from within the town - with hindsight, it is easier to travel around the outside of the town, where the hotel district to the north is signposted!
We had hoped for adjoining rooms - and were lucky that they were available.
The rooms were clean, and well laid out - very similar to the previous Ibis, so we immediately found where the sockets etc. were located!
The hotel seemed fairly new, and everything had an air of freshness about it.
The reception staff were very helpful, and spoke better English than our French - a great help if you have not booked ahead.
She was also able to advise on other places to eat, and in the morning, we were given simple directions to find our way out onto the national routes.
The layout of the building was puzzling at first, but once you looked at the fire evacuation plan, was easily understood.
We found the breakfast dining area quickly, and were confronted with an extensive choice of foods.
My wife was on a fat free diet due to gall stone problems, but was not left with any less choice of items than the rest of the family.
The buffet was well laid out so that queuing was reduced at busy times, and the coffee machine provided an excellent choice and quality of beverages - with the instructions in English so you had no excuse for pressing the wrong buttons!
There was a member of staff on hand to help out - and clear the tables. This was done discreetly, and you didn't feel pressured to leave. Indeed, there were French newspapers available to read if your language skills were better than ours!
With two children in tow, I was glad that the WiFi (so important these days) was easy to connect to - more so than at the previous Ibis we had stayed at.
We were quickly able to connect and keep in touch with family at home, and the procedure was simple enough to navigate.
Again the reception provided good guidance and a leaflet.
Overall, if you want a good quality simple hotel for an overnight stay, or even a short break, you should check this out for yourself.
It is not far from an airport, although I don't know what routes it serves, and we didn't see any planes overhead during our short time in the area.
