Located on a very busy street around 4 kilometeres from the town centre of Saumur. We were lucky to have a room in the back - there it is very quiet and we had a small view of the hillside. The room was very small, one could even say that it was cramped. The shower/toilets on the landing were clean. We were given one towel for the two of us, and the "office" was closed after 8 pm. Its most redeeming feature was that it was very cheap (28 euros for a double). Otherwise Saumur was the least friendly of the Loire valley towns we visited.
