Nice to find a hotel where the owners want you to relax and have a good stay.
Great room.....interesting building and surroundings.
It is a small village but nice to walk around.
The kitchen with the "honesty bar" is such a trusting thing.....but so indicative of the owners.
Would certainly stay again.

After a long day we arrived at this charming hotel and were given a warm welcome and tour of our accomodation. The room was very clean and charming including tea & cofffe facilities & bottled water. There was a communal kitchen with emergency wine and beer on an honesty basis.In the morning after we went for a run through the vinyards we were treated to a delicious breakfast with homemade jam and yoghurt seated in an old giant wine barrel. Before we left we visited the in-house shop for gorgeous local wine & produce. The owner was very kind, he recommended and booked a local restaurant for us which was absolutely delightful. It was called Hostellerie Saint Jean in nearby Montreuil-Bellay.

We stayed here for two nights in mid September. The room was big (for 3 people) and clean. The hosts, Philippe and Caroline were very friendly and Philippe was particularly helpful in recommending places to visit during our stay. If you don't want to eat at the restaurant in the town, there is a kitchen area available in the hotel. This has a small oven with 2 hobs, a microwave, a fridge freezer and general cutlery and cooking utensils. All we needed to cook a lovely evening meal. There is also a very large sitting area adjacent to the kitchen which we used both evenings.
The gardens are large, well kept and there are plenty of chairs available to sit in the sun. There are also badmington nets (with racquets and shuttlecocks) and an area for playing boules.
We had a lovely time here and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Having traveled 3000 miles in France this year this was without dought the best place we found. The welcome we recieved was first rate and we will return. Graham and Sharon
