We stayed one night in one of the € 85 per night studios.
Outside, the studio's terrace was teeming with weeds and it looked like it had been neglected for a long time. The steps to the terrace were full of rubble and stones.
None of the swimming pools were in order, one was empty and the other one had a filthy dust loaden cover on the water. Fences all over the place were broken-down, the coded night gate was always open so it looks like management is trying to financially wring as much as possible out of the compound by cutting corners on all the wrong places.

The studio itself was dirty to say the least. There was muck and grime in every corner especially in the bathroom. When we entered the main room we were greeted by a definite sewer smell. This was caused by dried up siphons in the bathroom. Proof that cleaning and checking of the studio hadn't been done in a long time. After we flushed the shower, bathroom sink and toilet the smell slowly disappeared. We didn't dare to look closer behind the toilet bowl and under the little bathroom vanity but we feared the worst... The bathroom cabinet missed one mirror so we looked into a gaping hole.
TV had only two decent channels: Sport and CNBC .

The bed was all right with a comfy mattrass. We didn't take breakfast

I stayed here with my children (11 and 7) after a weeks camping - the luxury given by the htoel was most welcome! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was luxurious and very clean. The hotel is in a beautiful area just outside the town of Saumur. It's a 5 minute drive to the Chateau overlooking the river. The whole city is beautiful.
Did not eat dinner in the hotel due to the menu for the kids but have no doubt it would have been an experience despite the 38 Euro set price menu - you could go higher!
Will definitely get back there. Can't recommend highly enough!
Also had a Spa/relaxation room - 50 Euro for an hour of pampering!

Picked as overnighter on way home from south west. Very difficult to find due to being given side alley's address which wasn't in sat nav. Was pleased when we did. Friendly arrival from mine host (lady) small, but clean and adequate room nicely decorated. Although shower head broken .Excellent views and food, although we stupidly allowed the young sommelier to recommend a wine, which at 24euros for a 50cl bottle seemed a little steep. Small but warm pool, and I agree with another comment that after the first class dinner, we expected a similar breakfast, but it was just the usual basic. That said we would definitely stay there again if it fit's in with our journey.

We stayed for four nights in this hotel as part of our trip to Normandy, Brittany and the Loire Valley. It's nicely located; just outside Saumur and situated on a height so that you can see the Castle in the distance. Though you would need to have a car to get around.

On arrival we got quite a frosty reception which was quite disappointing but perhaps we caught them on a bad day as the staff were very friendly for the rest of the stay. We ate in the restaurant (outside by the pool) one of the evenings and it was heavenly - it's well renowned in the area and definitely fine dining!

All in all we enjoyed our stay in the hotel - the room was very nice and on the ground floor; so close to the pool and breakfast area. We paid €90 per night + 12 p.p. for the breakfast (basic continental style) which I thought was actually quite basic for a hotel and restaurant of that quality.

We will certainly stay in this hotel next time we go to Saumur.
