Stayed here for two nights on my own 25/26 May. Got a cheap Ryan Air flight and decided to practice my French for a few days. For the money spent the studio was fine fully equpped for self catering clean tidy and perfectly adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the breakfast at 9 euros one day. Big dissapointment! you could get twice as good for less than half the money in local bistros. Otherwise no complaints.
The hotel is opposite the Chantiers Navals metro stop and is easily accessed from the main railway station where the airport bus drops you off ,about a ten minute ride. You can walk over the bridge from the hotel to the famouus Isles De Machines which is worth a visit. Nantes is a nice city with plenty to see and served by an effecient tram net work.
Before you go get on line at the tourist information site and buy a Nantes Card ( 32 euros for 72 hours) . This covers your bus to and from the airport to the train station, all tram , bus or boat taxis. This also includes free entry to most attractions . Great value and full credit to the city for offering this to tourists. You can get cards for 24 and 48 hour visits at reduced rates.
In conclusion adequate hotel which represents value and convenience suitable for the solo traveler. Nantes is well worth a visit and dont forge tto pre- book your Nantes Card.
