Stayed one night between flights, very easy access to airport - no need for taxi if you like a short walk. Clean and good value, free WIFI, full restuarant with limited but decent menu, no good for vegetarians (normal for France).Car park on site full UK TV.

Please remark that this post concerns the Escale Oceania, and not the Oceania Hotel. They are close one to each other, but the service is completely different. The Escale is the low cost version of the Oceania. It is probably the worst business hotel I have ever stayed in.

Rooms are small, have few and old furniture and they are noisy. When I stayed there they were going under renovations in the corridors and the complete hotel smelt to fresh painting. Breakfast is probably the best thing of your stay. Nothing special but at least you will find the regular offer of a French hotel.

The location at walking distance from the airport terminal is very convenient. Nevertheless, there are better choices in this same location.

I used to work as a front desk clerk in Mascotte hotel, but aside from that I can say that it's the best place you'll find. The staff is very kind and polite and always do the best for pleasing you. Angysel, Ileana, Mileidys, Nilda, Omar, Jose Ramon ... you are the best team and I never forget the good moments that I spended with them.

purpose of our stay was a few days in Nantes before our early morning flight on 13th. Hotel is on airport grounds in essence; so well sound-proofed it's barely evident. We had connecting rooms, beautifully white, fresh, aircon - new spotless beds - few more english channels on tv would have been handy for kids and a kettle with tea bags for ma..!! thankfully, no mini bar. Wifi available at ex rates - The most striking feature of this hotel was that it just let you be!! no big kids clubs, no boisterous bars - a quiet simple swimming pool - for swimming! no splashing, sliding, near drowning experiences - just swimming - a breakfast, that quite frankly was enormous - breads of all types, all fresh, all fab; fruits fresh and in salad, cereals, juices, yogurts, actimels, coffees teas hot chocolate- all included in room price. No need to eat til dinner - and I simply cannot superlativise just how excellent an experience that was. Service, choice, price, presentation, attention to detail to experience - a little easy piano muzak in background may have served to cache lil peoples' bubbles - Staff could not in any possible way have been any nicer or more personally involved in how important it was to them individually that in every possible way our dining experience was entirely attuned to our DNA.
it was that good, in every way. we had a rental car - which was necessary as the hotel is beyond the peripherique- or m20 around nantes- so just beyond tramsystem - which once you get into town, will get you everywhere in what has been for four years running the national most desirable habitat in France.hotel has a free shuttle service to airpost which needs little more than 10 mins warning from 530.
so if transport's not a big consideration- if getting the city centre bus from airport suffices - then this is a little oasis of calm cleanliness and warmth going about it's business seamlessy - a little gem that lets you be.
