Booked at very short notice for two night stay to coincide with Rugby World Cup match between Wales & Fiji. Very few hotels left in Nantes to choose from. It was a good location for the Beaujoire stadium and the tramway into town. The hotel has seen better days but we have definitely stayed in worse. The showers are hand held and difficult to use. The breakfasts were poor with a shortage of just about anything they said they would provide. The literature in the rooms specified breakfast until 1100 on weekends but the reception and serving staff made sure that they would close and clear away by 1000. We were OK with the time - but it all just seemed to be an inconvenience and was probably the cause of the lack of availablity of most breakfast items. Wouldn't choose it again! But you may have different priorities. Make up your own mind.

The Brit hotel amandine was a ok hotel. we chose it because of its proximinty to the highway and it was close to the highway. there was on site parking. The air conditioning was not doing a good job of keeping up with the heatwave. Because of the location close to the highway, they have thoughtfully provided double windows to block the noise.

The rooms were clean and basic in the Brit Amandine Hotel on the periphique of Nantes. The restuarant, however was somewhat surprising in how fantastic it was. The service was a little slow, but the food was faultless. The menu was typically french and caution needed to be exercised when stating how you wanted your meat cooked, but when it arrived it was melt-in-the-mouth gorgeous. The cheese board was local and delicious and the wine list extensive but reasonably priced. Three of us ate a four course set menu with wine and coffee for less than £150 in total. A real gem if you want a hotel with a resturant and parking (not easy to find in Nantes,)especially handy for a quick stop on the way south from St Malo.
