We stayed at the IBIS Centre Angers 16th +17th Sept. Rooms along the side street quiet when window closed. It is the usual IBIS value for money hotel with th usual IBIS breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with luggage. The hotel is well placed for walking around the town and visiting main sites of touristic interest. The good weather helped us to see Angers at its best.

Having been to many-many Ibises, we knew exactly how the room would look like, what the service is like and what's for breakfast before we even got there. The reason why we chose Ibis Angers was simple - after spending a long day in Bretagne (Quimper, Carnac, Broceliande), we were a bit late for finding us a hotel/B&B etc. Many places close their doors there at 21.00. After going through 10-15 hotels and not finding a place to spend the night, we asked our car navigation system to find the closest Ibis (hopefully near Loire valley) and Ibis Angers popped up. We knew the reception was open there 24h and luckily they had a free room for us. We even managed to get a decent supper from downstairs restaurant, although it was already almost 23.00.
The staff was very helpful, the parking outside was free (at least at night) and the room was clean and very predictable. The location is good - right next to Angers castle and what was even more important to us, the other Loire valley chateaus were very close by.
I would definitely stay there again if necessary. No frills hotel, excellent for spending a night or two.

Standard Ibis hotel experience in Angers. Nothing much more to say - its perfectly adequate for a night or two accommodation but I wouldnt want to stay much longer. Breakfast reasonable.

It's a chain hotel (Ibis, Accorhotels) so you know what to expect.
Nevertheless it is a good budget hotel, within the standards of the brand. The personal was nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The city doesn't have much to see, but don't miss the castles and landscapes of the Loire they are really worthwhile.
