“Great Campanile!”

We made 2 overnight stops here on 28 June and 13 July 2007.
Having stayed in many Campanile hotels over the years we knew what to expect and realise that each hotel, although similar in design, can be different in other ways.
We are a family of 6 adults and a baby and the room for my daughter, her husband and 1 year old baby was lovely. They did not have to sleep with the baby by their side, the room was large enough to put him out of sight but within earshot - great if he woke in the night as he wouldn't see them and would go back to sleep more easily.
The hotel cannot be faulted on its facilities for families with young children in the dining room either. High chairs were provided, as were bowls etc.
The meals were excellent here as was the service - nothing was too much for the lovely, friendly staff. On our arrival the cot had been placed in the wrong room but was quickly moved to the right room by very willing staff.
The hotel is well situated and easily found from the A10 and the rooms at the back were very quiet. I would not hesitate staying there again even on our own without family.
Thank you for a really good stay.

“Straightforward and good value”

This was the first time we've stayed in any of the Campanile chain, and I'd been warned they could be very basic, noisy and sometimes dirty. We stayed one night en route to eastern France from St Malo, and I was pleasantly suprised.

Check in was efficient, room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities in room, TV, and extra pillow to hand without asking. Restaurant simple but good for evening meal, although if you have breakfast get down early because the food buffet is emptied by the early birds and not refilled. We got a coffee and a croissant elsewhere on our journey.

On another occaision I would ask for a room at the back as there was some noise from road. Also these rooms are not air conditioned, so could be hot in summer.
