“Couldn't stay in this hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

Arrived early evening to a grafitti covered carpark and very unattractive entrance to hotel. The whole interior was shabby including the lift. We were given the key to our room but the room was not acceptable. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling. Our main concern was the security of the car in the car park. The communal areas were dirty. We returned our key to reception and vowed never to stay in a Kyriad again. The staff on reception were very receptive to our issues but could not offer a better room.

Room Tip: Don't stay in this hotel.

“Found accidentally, not disappointed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

We were en route from Spain to Calais and needed to stay one night in Rouen, found a public car park to review our situation as our SatNav seemed to be confused. This hotel was next to a public car park, the hotel car park was not available, so we booked in. A lucky break, we were happy with our stay. Rooms clean and tidy, facilities in good order. We have to say however that the receptionist was not 'user friendly' Shame really.

“A disappointing stay, to say the least.”

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly check in staff, i think it's safe to say that was the most enjoyable part of the stay. We were then given a room key, and no help whatsoever with carrying our bags up the many flights of stairs. how appalling. The room was small, and very run down but had the bare basics and wasn't too dirty. The view was less than impressive, of the motorway and the graffiti infested car park. Also, our bedsheets were rather stained with substances I'm not quite sure of. We then had a set menu dinner, a little rude not knowing what we were going to be eating. We ordered a drink each and my friends drink didn't even come to the table, so she tried to get the staffs attention numerous amounts of times before they finally took notice of her and could barely understand her problem. She finally got her drink. The starter then arrived, only to find a hair on the plate, a measly piece of bread and disgusting cheese. Not a good start. The main course consisted of a few undercooked chips and a piece of fatty gammon, and for dessert well, a basic bowl of ice cream. Breakfast was better as there was a good choice however, my friend wanted orange juice and low and behold there was none left. We took as many condiments as possible in order to get our moneys worth. The staff were quite rude, during any of the meals we did not get so much as a "how was your meal" or "is everything ok". We were simply ignored.

Room Tip: go for a three bed as it's a lot bigger

“Typical city hotel for short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

The best thing here is the good location within 10-15 minutes walk of the pedestrian centre of Rouen, however it was a little noisy at night. The rooms are reasonably priced. The staff at the desk front always friendly and helpful. My room compact but had all promised facilties. Everything was clean but the furniture and decor are a little bit outdated. There was an air conditioning in the room, which was good. The beds were camfortable. Negative: rather poor breakfast with very limited choice of food and hotel's car-park, difficult to find and with bed acces.

“Don't judge a place by the outside walls”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2011

Other reviews of this hotel worried us. Yes it is in a run down seedy area of Rouen but the private parking, ready welcome by a charming receptionist, clean and modern room coupled with good food in Le Bistro made up for all the comments we read. For a convenient hotel to visit the city centre and one night stop over it gets our voye.

Room Tip: Ask the receptionist
