Fine - not the prettiest part of town but a pleasant 10 minute walk to the old town and restaurants etc. Would recommend taking your meals in the town if you want to see a bit of Rouen while you're in town if you are here for leisure rather than business. Off-street parking useful. Fairly easy to find from the motorway.

Good standard hotel, easily on a par with other Mercure sites. The room was a decent size, very clean with a comfy bed and a reasonably sized bathroom. I had a quiet room facing away from road so not sure if the rooms facing the busy main road are as quiet. The breakfast was a surprise, really quite good with a good selection of food. The underground parking was secure but be careful if you have a big vehicle! It's only a short stroll to the centre of Rouen so I would recommend this hotel as a reasonably priced option for a stay in Rouen.

The Mercure Rouen Champs de Mars is a typical Mercure hotel. Nothing fancy, decent hotel. A bit old-fashioned, a refurbishment would be an asset.
The location is good, not too far away from the city center. It is located next to a rather busy road, but the street noise is acceptable.
The room is spacious, good quality bed. Bathroom is nice, pitty there is no shower, only a bathtub. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.
Breakfast is nice: a broad selection of food and drinks, really nice. It isn't cheap though, maybe there are more cost-effective alternatives in the city.
There is free smallband internet in the rooms, enough to check your emails. Broadband is paying, always a shame in my opinion for a rather expensive hotel.
Carpark under the hotel is good, but expensive (payed € 35 for our 3-day stay!). I wouldn't however feel comfortable to leave the car outside.
Overall a good experience!
