Only stayed one night but wish it could have been more. Le Petit Vatel Is as its name suggests - "Petit". But the cleanliness, attention to detail, and the friendliness of the staff is anything but small. The continental breakfast was excellent - French coffee is usually good but this was better than good - and coming from an ardent tea drinker this is praise indeed. The location (right next to an excellent indoor covered market) is ideal for both town and beach. Highly recommended.

John Pitcher - Eastbourne

Used the new crossing to Le Havre from Newhaven and stayed two nights at the hotel. Very good location. Walking distance from other hotels, restaurants,bars, shopping in the town.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast extra, but worth it at 7 euros each. Cost was £43 each night per room, and the room had two double beds in. Plenty of hot water, but limited on toiletries. Definately worth a stay.

Using this hotel as a stop off point between UK and France we found it both clean and comfortable and also at a reasonable price. (2 adults and 2 children in one room £43 for the night) . Breakfast was also available and was also excellent. The owners are very polite and friendly but English is limited. Very much recommended for a small , family run hotel.

Good hotel. Clean, efficient and helpful. Lots of choice for breakfast! Le Havre is a good place to stay, anyway. Good food in the shops, wide streets, attractive park, arty things to do and peaceful atmosphere. Go if you get the chance.
