The locations isn't downtown, but with a car the availability or parking and ease of access to the city was good. The room was well appointed. The beds are a thin foam mattress on wooden frames and North Americans guests may find them harder than they are used to, compared to spring mattresses. The bathrooms are essentially fibreglass modules in the corner of the room which provide and ample shower space. They forgot to clean the bathroom during the daily clean, but were quick enough to rectify the situation when advised.

An important word of caution about the "free" wi-fi Internet access. It is severely limited. They provide codes to use Orange Wifi but with a maximum of 200M per day, limited connection minutes and may services including wifi and streaming are blocked intentionally as a way to get you to pay for full wireless Internet. The advertisements show examples of people using the Internet to chat online.... you won't be able to do this with the free wifi. The staff apologizes for this and there is a central computer that you can use, but it lacks access to proprietary software, so if you need to communicate with your office, this is not the hotel for you, unless you want to pay for wifi access.

We've stayed here a few times over the years, but on this occasion we were a bit disappointed. The room, in particular, was looking a bit shabby - the bedside table had collapsed on one side of the bed, and the bathroom door needed a hearty shove to close it (it also didn't actually meet the door frame at the top and bottom... not very civilised...). There was also some confusion at check-out regarding whether or not we'd paid (we had, in advance... but - to quote a well-known sketch show - the computer said 'No...'). One distinct plus - some new development in Honfleur now means that it's possible to walk, comfortably, into the town centre from the Ibis without having to negotiate any unpaved roadsides. It used to be a hideous slog through a quagmire alongside the dual carriageway, in the old days... much, much better now.

The Ibis Honfleur is a modern hotel but still manages to have a friendly atmosphere. The rooms are furnished rather basically, but are comfortable, clean and well maintained. The reception and catering staff are very friendly, and the light, open-plan reception / breakfast area has a welcoming feel.
Best points no 1 - Can walk into Honfleur with its beautiful harbour and many restaurants. About a 10 - 15 minute walk and the road was not too busy.
Best points no 2 - the continental breakfast is fantastic. A good range of fresh produce and excellent coffee.
Bad points - none.

We stayed for one night on our way to visit Normandy battlefields. The hotel was easy to find and had good parking. The rooms were typical Ibis-small, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had to drive to get into the city center, but the hotel clerk gave us a map and told us where to park for free. She was very pleasant and we were grateful that she spoke English, since this was our first night in France.
The only downside was that there was no air conditioning and the room was warm so we had to open our window. Our room was right above the parking lot in the back and there were a lot of doors slamming at night and early in the morning. There is a smaller parking lot in the front and the rooms that face front may be quieter.
We didn;t eat breakfast here because there was a McDonalds right down the street, so we ate there-good coffee and chicken wraps.
Overall a good stay.
