Booked this after reading TripA reviews and looking for an hotel on the outskirts of Honfleur, staying overnight on a trip to the west coast.
Arrived approx 22.30 after eating in Honfleur and the welcome was very good, pleasant and efficient considering the late(ish) hour. Rooms (our room anyway) somewhat dated now compared with Novotel etc - best place to inspect the old plumbing is from the loo seat (!) or bath - and an upgrade would not go amiss in the near future. But clean enough but slightly drab '80s colours and 'brown' corridors I thought.
Slept well - room was advertised with mini-bar and internet access. Empty mini-bar (perhaps understandable for prepaid one night stand) and the internet access bit in the spiel subtly missed out the word 'free'! Not worth several Euros for an hour just to check the emails when we had only left Blighty a few hours before. These days, wireless or a cable should be f.o.c. in all the rooms?
We declined the steepish breakfast mentioned by some and whinged that all we wanted was a coffee and croissant and hey presto were obligingly offered the 'bar breakfast' at £6.00 each - coffee, croisant, jams and orange juice. Just the job!
Very pleasant service at check-out by (the manageress I think) Emily of Franco / Yorkshire descent - perfect English to assist our Franglais - and we drove away refreshed and happy feeling we had received good service and value for money.
Would stay again if passing - and would appreciate a lighter, brighter refurb of the room and corridors when it happens as I'm sure it must. 8/10 from us.
