“Carole and Jerome make you feel at home”

If you are looking for a fantastic place to say while visiting the Normandy region, I can't say enough good things about this wonderful B&B. The room (we were in the attic room) was spacious and had ample headroom for me (I am about 6'1"). We enjoyed our breakfasts which were better in every respect than the five star hotels we stayed in later on in our stay in France and especially enjoyed the warm hospitality of the owners Carole and Jerome and their family (even Basil the cat was friendly!).

Yes, the climb to the third floor room is a bit steep, but one need not bring a Sherpa and the privacy of that third floor with a separate private bath on the same floor was worth the stairs, as we stayed for four nights.

Highly recommend this place, you will NOT be dissappointed.

“Our stay at Clos de Bellefontaine”

This is an elegant place to stay. It is in easy walking distance from the center of the village. If you have a car it is very safe within the walls of the yard area. The bedroom we were in was on the third floor which could be a problem for anyone with weak legs but was very comfortable. There are two comfortable twin beds in a large room and it is very nicely decorated. There are two operable windows so fresh air is easy to get. The bathroom is private and very well supplied. The one difficulty (which is also true other places) is that the tub is deep and high and only has a handheld shower head. We made a water mess on the floor each time.

Breakfast was very generous and the table beautifully set. She provided many breads with jams and butter, fruits, juice, yogurt, tea, coffee all in abundance.

This would be our choice again if we ever returned.

“Charming French B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

My wife and I stayed here in late September. Our hosts, Jerome and Carol were very friendly. The residence must be a small chateau. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the center of town or the tapestry. We stayed on the 3rd floor, as the nicer room on the 2nd floor was already reserved. It takes some climbing up a set of narrow spiral stairs. We had two twin beds, but they were reasonably comfortable. The breakfast in the country French breakfast room was unforgettable: the food and the ambience. We also enjoyed their pet rabbit in the backyard. We strongly recommend this B & B.

“Perfect!”

Not a detail missed...it was warm, inviting, and comfortable. Breakfasts were incredible...entirely too much for the two of us. It's perfectly located well within walking distance of the train station, as well as down town. We absolutely loved this B&B and are recommending it to our friends who are headed there in 2012. I honestly don't know that I have ever stayed in a nicer, more welcoming B&B. We even enjoyed the company of Lilly, the pet rabbit who would follow you around the property!!
