We arrived to find an odd set-up - the hotel had been taken over by the hotel next door. Quite a lengthy walk around the perimeter with our suitcases to find the main reception desk followed!
The hotel is quite dark and heavy in terms of decor, floral wallpaper and strong colours but the rooms were fine for sleeping in. We didn't visit the bar or restaurant, so cannot comment on these facilities. Parking is first come first served and space is limited so good parking skills are required.
The hotel is well located for walking into Bayeux.
Our main complaint would be that the hotel is located opposite the cinema, so at turning out time there was a lot of noise and cigarette smoke wafting into our room.
I'd hope that the new owners carry out some re-decoration and make this a more pleasant place to stay.
No bed bugs encountered!!

I was surprised to read some of the bad reviews of this place. I thought it was great!! The staff were some of the nicest people we met our whole time in France -- they helped with taxis, told us where to go, recommended restaurants. They even walked us up to our room to make sure everything was okay. The room itself was one of the bigger ones we stayed in our whole trip, with a big comfy bed. The bathroom was an average size, but very clean and neat. The water pressure was amazing. So worth it.

This place is right in the middle of the shopping district, so it's a great location. I wished we could have stayed longer!!

Let's be honest - this is not a nice hotel. The reception staff are rude. The hotel is not conveniently located. The rooms are small (very small). There are much better choices in this very wonderful city. we needed one night until we could move to the La Castel Guesthouse - which is amazingly wonderful.

The #1 requirement of a hotel is a clean and sanitary condition, and on that this fails miserably. The bedding was noticeably not well maintained and my wife and I both woke with bed bug bites. Unfortunately we were given poor advice to not book in Bayeux ahead of time, and just saunter around looking for accomodations---this could not be further from the truth---book well ahead or you may end up at this substandard place as a last resort.

The staff did not ask us how our visit was when we checked out (I'm guessing this is probably intentional---they don't want to know, or they already know what the answer will be?), and we were in a hurry to get out of there so we just chalked it up to our bad luck instead of requesting funds back, but this was most certainly not worth the 75 euros per night they are asking. If this review stops 1 person from booking here and having the experience we had then it will have been of good use.
