We were recommended to stay in this hotel because it was near the Eurostar and we were only going to be there for overnight. The hotel is very old, on top of bars so very noisy. The room was large but it had not been vaccumed. The bathroom was extremely small. We did not try the breakfast but had some down the street. I would suggest if you need an hotel near the Eurostar try some others.

I stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the city for a short break. The rooms are fairly compact, I had a double room, however this is to be expected for a city centre hotel.... I wasn't bothered by this as it was a good place to come back to after wandering around Lille all day. My room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet, no noise from the bustling Place de la Gare outside could be heard at all.

En suite bathroom and satellite TV was also a plus. The housekeeping service was also good. Helpful staff, including the bright and breezy guy behind the 24hr front desk. The desk staff were also multilingual which did help considering my French was very rusty.

The breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of bread, cheese & meat, croissants, pains au chocolat, fruit, cereals etc. Nice breakfast room too with modern furtniture.
There are also plenty of eateries around the hotel, I would recommend Les Trois Brasseurs. Its also directly opposite Gare Lille-Flandres and 5 minutes walk from the Eurostar station at Gare Lille Europe ... the Euralille shopping centre is also just a few minutes away.

All in all a decent place to stay, I would go back.

I arrived on the Eurostar, had about a 10 minute walk and checked in early - no problem. My room was on the first floor and the floor creaked like crazy. The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also clean. The decor was horrendous - green and orange just aren't my colours! I was disappointed that there was no kettle in the room. The hotel is over a restaurant and I could smell restauarnt cooking for the duration of my stay. I did not have breakfast at the hotel based on previous reviews. There is no shortage of restaurants and patisseries in the area and the Carrefour Supermarket is only about 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is well-placed being walking distance to then old town and Eurostart and right opposite the gare du Flanders where the local train, metor and buses all stop.

This hotel is very conveniently situated for Eurostar travellers and is fairly priced.

We had booked a bed and breakfast package thru Eurostar but the man on the front desk repeatedly tried to add the breakfast onto the bill despite it already being paid for. He did this when we checked in and when we checked out.

The rooms were very clean and towels were changed daily. The shower room was tiny but adequate. Fine for a few days.

The breakfast buffet was not bad at all for a hotel in this class and when the bread ran out one morning I simply went down to the front desk and someone immediately came up to replenish it. The coffee was in a large urn but reasonable, there were cereals and pastries too. Enough to keep us going.
