I don't understand the bad reviews. Clean, pleasant and a great location. Good value.

With great views. Staff were attentive and the rooms were stylish and clean. Seems that you get the better rooms if you book breakfast.

I often stay at the Crowne Plaza in Lille on business. The hotel is lcoated right opposite the Eurostar station at Lille so is very convenient for travellers as you can just walk off your train, through the station, cross the road and you are there.

The hotel i would say is primarily used by business travellers so caters well for them. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and have everything a business traveller requires.

I only use the restaurant for breakfast and the breakfast is very good offering cereals, cooked and continental breakfasts. The reception staff are very pleasant and speak good English.

The bar area is often very quiet and the bar staff could be a little friendlier.

The hotel is located a little walk away from the centre of Lille, approx 10 minutes walk. There is the main EuroLille shopping centre a couple of mins walk away from the hotel also with Carrefour, Apparel, Bar and restaurant. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants in the older part of Lille and a stroll around old Lille is very pleasant.

We planned our visit to Lille to coincide with the Christmas Market and decided to stay at the Crowne Plaza. Very convenient location only 20 yards from the Eurostar station but a ten minute walk into town. Unfortunately we arrived on a Thursday evening which happens to be Electro Jazz night at the hotel and the noise could be heard before we walked in. It was deafening with a set of decks in reception - we couldn't hear ourselves think and when we had managed to check in we could still hear the music on the 8th floor!! Room itself was quite spacious although it did feel that it hadn't been used for some time and it took us three days to work out how to use the shower (baths instead). We ate in the restaurant on the first night of our stay and the meal was OK - only OK and not a patch on some of the meals we had on our stay but nothing to complain about. Breakfasts were the same - OK but nothing to get overly excited about. Service too was a bit patchy - long waits for drinks in the bar - not really what you would expect in an international 4* hotel.
