Tiny rooms, no room to move, and seems this is the case for all rooms. More room in a cupboard. 20 mins walk to centre, although not an unpleasant walk through nice gardens.
Breakfast room is small, and food very limited. Definitely not worth what they charge you...
TV choice bad, volume control limited to low level. Window screwed shut.
Any temp control in room has to be requested from reception.
Avoid hot chocolate...unbelievable...
Hot water took 10 minutes to arrive through tap.

This hotel is poor, and yet not cheap....steer well clear....

Very small room (509) with only one light fitting over the bed - combined uplighter and two halogen reading lights directed at each side of the bed. Problem being that the single switch on one side of the bed put everything on or everything off! If one person wanted to read and other sleep it is impossible because both reading lights are on. Discussion with other guests found this to be true in all rooms. TV in the room had been electronically limited as to how loud the volume could be set - neither the remote nor the TV volume control would increase the volume above 25%. Impossible to hear when in bed - you had to sit on the end of the bed within 1 metre of the TV to hear anything. Similarly reported by every other guest I spoke to. The cramped desk area had no light and since your back was to the one light light over the bed it was not possible to read or write at the desk after dark. The window was screwed shut so no fresh air can be got into the room.

Buffet breakfast bar was in a tight corner meaning only one person could get there at a time - long queues formed. Made worse by the fact that the cups are the smallest I've ever seen anywhere and guests kept returning to refill their tiny cups and therefore block the whole of the buffet area.

The only good point about the hotel is that it's clean. If it were 70 euros per night you could perhaps accept its shortcomings but at 140 euros it's a very, very bad buy. Breakfast at 13 euros is similarly overpriced. I cannot recommend this hotel and will never use it again.

We stayed for four nights in this Hotel. Although it is not in Old Lille it is a pleasant 10 minute walk through a lovely garden to Euro Lille Railway Station. Alternatively the trams stop near the hotel with a 2 minute stop to Lille Flandre Railway Station. The room was quiet, well maintained and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who didn't mind if they were right in the centre of town.

Just stayed for the one night. Receptionist very helpful and spoke good english. Gave us directions into town as very quiet in this area. Trams just outside - get a zap ticket and you are in the city in 5 mins and the trams seem to run every 5 mins too. Rooms clean but a bit tired. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Car park is an absolute nightmare! Very small entrance and there are cars parked opposite so you can't get the swing in you need.....you will need your passenger to guide you in!
