This hotel was chosen by Tates Coaches (Markyate, Herts) to hold our Msonic Ladies Festival. Fantastic location, quiet for a good nights sleep & only 10 mins from the town centre on the tram (tram station outside the hotel entrance). Food was first class as was the servce. Rooms where large with all the comforts that you would exspect. Breakfast was not typically French as it was too good to be true. Function rooms had air conditioning as did the whole hotel. Ladies Festival on the Saturday evening was more than i could have wished for a fantastic weekend & i would recomend it to anyone. For Masonic functions call Tates [--] or [--]

We stayed here for two nights as part of a weekend trip looking at WWI history. We paid £147 for the two nights, including a very good breakfast. I consider this to be good value. Initially, we were a little disappointed with the hotel as it wasn't as fresh and modern as the previous place we'd stayed (another Mercure) and was rather characterless, but it slowly grew on us. We arrived late the first night and had to eat in the hotel restaurant and it was poor. The second night we took the very quick and convenient tram into the centre of Lille and had a very good evening. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The hotel is in the suburbs of Lille. It is well signposted, which is good as otherwise it would be impossible to find. We had great trouble navigating our way out from the hotel to where we wanted to go in the mornings - city driving is generally best avoided in any strange town or country.

We were travelling through from the south of France to Bruges and so needed somewhere reasonably en route. This hotel isn't easy to find off the autoroute from the south but the immense benefit is that when you leave you're straight onto the autoroute north! So it's a good trade off. With all mercure hotels, they're classically decorated which can look a bit tired but in actual fact it was spotless and very well furnished.

And what a comfy bed!

We have stayed at this Mercure since it was originally a Sofitel. We visit every year, but have found it is in need of a little love and attention. It looks tired, the restaurant is not open at weekends, and generally is OK, but not much better. On the positive side, because of its quiet out of town location, it is extremely peaceful and we always have a lovely night's sleep!
