I wanted a cheap Hotel with a central location and got just that. In someways it's a typical french hotel, a room which is about 2ft larger than the bed, grumpy night staff, lift for two people which will only take two people without bags. But that would be doing it a disservice, the day time crew are delightfull, the location is really excellent and the price is not bad. The two nights I stayed, the hotel was full. If you come by car you should book a parking spot, that was like gold dust. My wife say's I'm cheap and I surpose I am, but we were there for the Christmass markets and I'd rather spend the money on something more interesteing than a hotel room.

we got this with a eurostar package. The location is very good and within easy walking distance from the eurostar rail terminal and lille itself. The room itself was on the top floor and we had to walk up the last floor as the lift stopped one floor below. The room was very basic but we think it was in mid renovation and may have been reserved for eurostar.

Entrance: not very modern but spacious, would be very good if you are with a big group.Hallway first floor: walls need a touch of paint. More light would be better. No carpet but nice wooden floor (floor is not noisy). Same floor as in the room.(wood).Room (first floor)is big enough. Curtains very good, no light went trough.View: not so nice, but we didn't mind.Bathroom big enough, plenty of light on the mirror. Very warm water. Clean enough.Room is clean. Noise: we could here someone sigh in the room next door. Also lot of noise from the street so bring your earplugs. Bed very good.Breakfast excellent (we are not used to that in France) and worth the money. Breakfast room very small.(pay attention if you are a group!).
Very friendly staff. Parking place in hotel nearby not so far away.(Hotel des Tours) Carrefour shop round the corner, open till 22h!

We spent 3 nights here whilst we explored Lille. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water - shower excellent. Enjoyed the breakfast - lots of choice. I took my mobility scooter to France and the hotel staff were brilliant about storing it in a safe place when I wasn't using it. All those who worked in reception were so helpful and friendly. I would have rated our stay as excellent over all if there had been tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
