I have stayed at Etaps in about 6 different locations, and since they are a chain (local management, but corporate quality design and control) you get pretty much the same thing every time: Small, clean room, firm bed, TV with Canal+, shower +WC (separate rooms), good value, all you can eat
petit dejeuner in the morning (about 6 euros). This particular location was
very good: the gentleman in charge stayed there until all the expected guests checked in. Since my flight from London was delayed (and then a bomb scare at the Toulouse airport), it mean he was there until well after 1 am. Now that's service! Usually you put in your credit card (a machine outside) it gives you your receipt with the room code number and you're in..
I think the room charge is still under 40 euros...gated parking at night...
This location is a little out of the way, but that just made it quiet (wonderful after having spent a night in downtown Toulouse in a hotel from HELL.
Most rooms have a double bed with a single bed over the bed, good for a couple with a child. You can book on line which is good also...
I stay in charming hotels in small towns...larger towns, easier to trust Etap.
