The hotel is right in the centre of Toulouse close to the main square, but in a quiet street. We had a superior room which looked over the small courtyard so was very quiet. It was a good size and worth the little extra cost. The decor is plain, but the room has all you need and there is a bath tub which you don't always get in a small hotel. The staff were very friendly. It was good value for money and the location was perfect. There was excellent information provided in a series of leaflets. We had breakfast once, it was fine, but we found a nice cafe in the main square which had more atmosphere and was cheaper. I was surprised at an earlier comment about light coming under the door at night as our room was so dark it was hard to find the bathroom and I took to leaving the light on with the door closed to avoid having to grope round the room! You could hear people come into other rooms but no more than in most hotels, and it only disturbed me once.

Superb location on a quiet street only 2 minutes from Capitole Square. 2 minutes in the other direction takes you to the gourmet delights of the Victor Hugo market and the great value restaurants on the 1st floor. There are 2 metro stations within 3 mins walk, each on a different metro line, Jeanne d'Arc and Capitole.
Hotel Albert 1er occupies a beautiful period building in the heart of Toulouse. My twin room was lovely and spacious with 2 large windows opening onto Rue John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The reception staff spoke great English and were extremely courteous and helpful at all times. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. It seemed reasonably priced though at 10 euro.
If only the shower head was a few inches higher it would have scored the perfect 100/100!

We booked a superior room which was a good size (for France) with a very comfortable bed and a well appointed modern bathroom. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful & the hotel had several of its own leaflets to help you enjoy the delights of Toulouse. We didn't try the breakfast, so can't comment on that. The location a few mins from the Jean D'Arc airport bus stop and metro station is also near the main shopping areas, but in a quiet side street.

We stayed in this hotel in October 2011. It was centrally located in the old part of the city & therefore easy to get to restaurants and shops. We were on our way to Paris at the end of the trip & just staying one night & leaving very early in the morning so unfortunately we missed out on breakfast. The room was clean and a reasonable size and as I got sick there & had to spend most of the time in bed I was very grateful that the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel if staying in Toulouse.
