I booked an appartment (two couples) in this hotel in March 2010 for one night, Friday October 8th. The booking was guaranteed by my credit card. We arrived in France on October 2nd and began to hear about the nationwide strikes that were disrupting many services at the time. I called the hotel on October 3rd and was told to contact Federal Hotels by email, which I did. I did not receive any reply. When I returned home to Australia three weeks later, I noted an email from Federal Hotels dated October 1st reminding me of our booking plus one dated 16th October asking for a review of the hotel. I replied to both reminding them that I had cancelled the booking. On November 5th I transferred funds to my credit card and a couple of days later the hotel charged my credit card a fee of 140EUR for "non-show". I discovered this charge in early December. Since then I have sent numerous emails to both Federal Hotels and the hotel itself, all without success. I have also sent copies of the email to the Lourdes Tourist Bureau plus Alliance Francaise here in Adelaide.
So far, I have had no success from this hotel.
