The hotel is very nice and comfortable, staff very friendly and competent. The hotel is very close to the Sanctuary. To visit the city, don't take the Petit train (not very honest), use rather the city minibus. Go up the Pic du Jer mountain: wonderful view, but take your sandwich because the restaurant up there has very friendly staff, but terrible food.

I would recommend this hotel mainly because the staff on reception were so lovely and helpful. There had been a mistake on our booking agent's part, so when we arrivied (late at night, tired and exhaused!) the hotel's records only showed that our reservation had been cancelled. Cue panic on our part. But the guys on the desk were great, checked us in, and showed us to our room. We sorted it out the next day with Johanna (who could not have been nicer or more accomadating). Overall they were very kind, professional and helpful.
The rooms were fine, the lobby and restaurant were lovely.
To be honest, the breakfast's are good, but I think quite expensive. We had dinner one night though from the set menu in the hotel restaurant, it was excellent value and fab!
The only other niggle I have about this hotel was the cleaning lady. I was unwell for a couple of days and so in the room a lot. We didn't need to have the room serviced, had enough towels, etc., But the poor woman couldn't understand me, and I couldn't understand her. She called to the room at least six times! I eventually just brought her in, she had a look around and then finally left me alone! I'm sure she had the best of intentions, but I just wanted to stay in my bed and not have to run to the door constantly! Should have paid more attention in my French classes :) The hotel also has a turn down service which is quite sweet!

This hotel was by far the best thing about our stay in Lourdes, aside from watching Le Tour de France come through town. What made all the difference was that on top of the charming buidling and design, the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The very best was Amandine, who went way beyond the call of her front desk duties to make us feel at home.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. It is ideally situated for the domaine. As a 4 star hotel it has a few inadequacies, but not that it would stop us returning. As with many old hotels in Lourdes, the bedroom was small but very comfortabl beds. However, the bathroom was spacious. Decor wasn't great, but it was clean.As others note, the minibar was empty, but it provided a place to keep our own water bottles cool - there is a minimarket 5 mins walk away. On arival we were pleasantly greeted and our bags takn to our room immediately. The nouvelle cuisine was excellent, though rather more veg would have been appreciated. But with a 4 course lunch and 3 course dinner (or v.v.), we didn't go hungry. There wasa good selection of everything at breakfast, including 6 hot items - the roast tomatoes were rather good. The lounge and bar are comfortable but were underused. The waiters were pleasant and the service was excellent.
