I would advise you to book this hotel with a special offer as I did.. otherwise I believe that you might find it too expensive for what it is
The staff are great! Very friendly, very helpful.. just wonderful.
The hotel has been recently "updated" and the rooms are nice. I stayed in a double room on the 3rd floor.
The bed was big enough, the TV channels were only in French, no English, no German.. no other languages..
Despite the efforts to refresh the hotel I must say in many ways this was unsuccessful.
The carpet is old and horrible, the breakfast is a "joke"! For a cute town like Metz, full of amazing patisseries - this was a really bad experience. No real croissants, coffee was not good. I tried only once..
It is almost like half of the place has been given a new paint and the other half has been left like it was in the 80's ..
It was also quite noisy .. the "femmes de chambres" were quite loud when doing their job around the rooms, doors were slamming. I was expecting noise from the street but actually all the noise came from the hotel itself! So in my opinion not really relaxing..
Also some people do not seem to understand that it is a NON smoking hotel so the 1st night I was unpleasantly awake by a very strong cigarette smell..
if you decided to have a snack in your room I would advise you to order from Eat Sushi - new Sushi chain restaurant, they deliver and it is really good!
Besides that they are based very close to the hotel too
