We just spent a night in room 303 at the All Seasons Gare hotel. This was our fourth stay in Nancy; our first at the All Seasons. We will definitely return to the All Seasons for our next visit. I was a bit concerned about the location (near the train station) but the area is not the normal seedy, run-down area near the station. On the contrary, the area is quite nice, clean, and has a superb boulangerie on the corner. Euro 7 parking is available first come, first served. We lucked out and were able to get our room at our early arrival time of 1115 Saturday morning. I was expecting to just drop our bags and head into town but we were able to check in and change to shorts (nice weather this past weekend) before walking into town. It's a 10 +/- minute walk to Place Stanislaus. We were more interested in the Marche this visit which was also just 10 minutes away. The hotel's common areas are nice, bright, and open. There's a large courtyard beween the "old" and "new" buildings of the hotel. Unfortunately, it was a bit too cool to have breakfast there but nice nonetheless. Breakfast is all-you-can eat. As other posters have stated, they have a freshly squeezing orange juice machine. Neat. The coffee machine (plenty of choices) was also automated. The breakfast spread was one of the best we've experienced in France with baguettes (plain), nice/freshly baked bread (awesome), croissants, ham, cheese, cereals, yogurts, and other stuff. It definitely filled our stomachs for the 10 km hike we did later that afternoon.
The room itself was nice. Small, but French rooms are typically small so that was not a surprise nor a concern. The room was modern and clean w/ AC (nice, as it was pretty warm while we were there), dark curtains (nice as I like blakced-out rooms at night), clean bathroom/shower, and a small armoire-like area. My only concern with the room was the bed's mattress could use replacement as it was kinda soft and concaved towards the center. It didn't affect our sleep though.
This was our first visit to this hotel as our "normal" hotel was fully booked. This turned out to be a good thing as we most definitely liked All Seasons much better than our former "normal" hotel.
