We drove to Nancy without hotel reservations. Selected this hotel because it was close to where we wanted to be and they had rooms available and parking. We specifically stated we needed three beds. We originally had a nice room with a king bed and a pull out sofa but it was smoking. So I returned to the desk and asked for non-smoking. We were given a room with two beds and absolutely no room for a cot. Having at this point given up, our son slept on the floor.
The rooms were on the small side and reminded me of a business class type Howard Johnson or Holiday Inn Express. Pretty generic, clean, efficient.
We ate dinner at the mediteranean fast food in the Plaza behind the hotel, though a very nice Art Nouveau restaurant was just across the street.
We were offered a breakfast, but declined.
The old train station is just across the street (I have been unable to determine if trains still arrive here or if they all go to the new one.) As mentioned by a previous guest there is parking below. The days we were there the parking payment machine was broken which was a slight inconvenience. The hotel supplied us with a paid parking card which was charged to our room.
The hotel is situated close to many of the main city sites and the city was easy to walk.
I would probably look for another hotel now that I know the city a little better, but it is possible the Park Inn might still be my hotel of choice. This was one of the more modern hotels we stayed in during our trip.
