“Average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 April 2011

Location just up the street from the train station and close to most everything in Nancy. Staff were nice but English limited more than usual. Having said that, I was in a foreign country and my French lacks, as well. They were nice - we just ran across a little language barrier. Rooms were about like a Radisson or Sheraton in US. But I have no complaints, and most folks wouldn't. This hotel is adequate.

I just couldn't find a lot to do in Nancy and hotel options were limited. If your travels make you stop here, this place is fine.

“business hotel near trainstation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

Hotel is more business like the beds where not great and the pillows where almost not existing. (very thin no filling). Wireless internet is NOT available even though they advertise this on the website, although all rooms do have Wired access at a EUR 10,00 a day rate. The speed of this connection is good, and we where lucky to receive this for free from the nice employee at the front desk. The rooms where spacious and clean, but all felt a bit old.

Breakfast was reasonable but as often in france a bit limited in choices.

Even though the hotel was near the train station of Nancy we did hear anything from it. Parking at this hotel is NOT free but you will receive parking for EUR 9,00 a night if you use the parking garage located next to the hotel. (instead of EUR 12,00 per 24hours).

Walk to the city center just takes 5 minutes as this is near the train station.

“Nice hotel close to the train station”

We got off a train when it was dark and just walked across the road to this hotel. Our room had a very big bed (we had a great sleep) and a fold out sofa for our daughter. It was a nice sized room, but there is not a lot of space with the sofa bed folded out. The bathroom was also a nice size with a shower over the bath and more than enough room to allow for helping children get dried and dressed. We didn't have a desk, but didn't need one. What we did have was a hallway - due to how our room fitted in with the other rooms - which was great for our overflowing suitcases.
Our room was more expensive than the price shown on this site, but it did include breakfast and we didn't have to pay for using their internet (a single computer in the lobby). I really liked the lobby space, with its lounge chairs.
I thought Nancy was lovely, but we found very little tourist information - barely a postcard! Probably quite refreshing if you've just been in a very touristy area. We stumbled across a little "zoo" in a park (Pepiniere Park). Nothing special, but if you have children they will enjoy it. There is a playground there as well and other entertainment (which was closed for winter).

“Not pretty, but clean, tidy with good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2009

This building is an eyesore just next to the station. Smoked glass windows that don't open and bright orange paint on the walls means that it is somewhat dated but we asked for a twin, no smoking room with a child bed, ironing board and trouser press and it was all there when we arrived. The staff were very obliging with whatever request we made and were very courteous. It is a very handy location next to the station and a short walk from the Place Stan.

“. You should be ashamed”

For attention of the manager
Sir / Madam
You were recently fortunate to have the custom of the students from the Halsbury work experience group.
I am appalled at such low standards you provided for these young people with regard to the meal service during their stay. The contract was to include breakfast and evening meal .This contract was not fulfilled.
A single bowl of fruit is not sufficient for over forty young adults. It would have taken no effort with minimal cost to provide sufficient fruit with some cereals and milk to start their long day.
Non meat eating students where subject to atrocious alternative food. A plate of vegetables does not constitute a meal; neither does a plate of cheese.
The students were forced to go out after their meal to purchase snacks to fill themselves up. . Utterly disgraceful.
In these times it is not difficult to provide an adequate menu at reasonable cost to yourselves .Have you ever tried cooking pasta ?It is not very complicated.
Do you not realize in failing to provide just a basic standard your hotels inadequacies will be highlighted on every travel web site on the Internet. The schools and colleges will be informed of the situation to ensure no future bookings will be made at your hotel.
Bad business. You should be ashamed.
