I do not complain about hotels, but I have to about this.
We were returning from seeing the outlaws in Pau and decided to stop in Limoges. After all it has an aquarium for our 12 month old boy.
It started badly. We were offered secure parking for 5 euro. It was not secure (the barrier remained open) and there were no weekend restrictions in the street (a quicker walk to our room). We had booked a room specifically for 2 adults and a baby. The baby's cot was a bunk bed above the double bewd for my wife and me. Totally unsuitable (and unexpected).
My son (now sleeping on a mattress on the floor) was particularly interested in the bare wires of the plug socket that were hanging out.
We had one (poor) towel between the 3 of us to use in the moulded, shower with the rotten chipboard walls. There were no staff on the desk to complain to.
I was experimenting with Etap having had pleasant, cheap stays with Campanille, Ibis and Kriad before.
We stayed at the Etap Versailles after that which was no where near Versailles (I was aware of this before I booked), that had the same sleeping arrangements but safer sockets.
I would not stay with Etap again and certainly not the one in Limoges.
Even though it is quite small, the boy loved the aquarium!
