We stayed here on the first night of a walking package holiday, with friends. The most important point is that the hotel and restaurant are run separately. We found the hotel welcome to be friendly and helpful, with a young man to carry our bags over the road to uor rooms in the annexe. These are quirky and individualistic, but with considerable style. As someone else has commented, the bathroom and loo are small but clean, although the loo did smell a bit. Next morning the breakfast room, literally under the glass sided swimming pool, provided a good variety, although the coffee could have been fresher than the dewar flask provided. We liked the orange crusher to make our own juice. Our experience in the downstairs restaurant the previous evening was mixed. The food was excellent; pate de foie gras with an onion compote, then noisettes of lamb, and creme brulee dessert. It was the service that was a bit surly, and when the waitress spilt a whole glass of red wine over the tablecloth, she only just managed to apologise and did not, unfortunately, offer any replacement wine. This dampened our evening somewhat. So, in summary, a nice hotel and the restaurant has great food, but the waiting service we experienced was patchy and should be much better.
