We loved our stay in Uzes - one night of a bike tour in Provence. We arrived - needing a shower after our day long ride - the service was especially pleasant - the room was comfortable, and quiet. We walked the cobbled streets that evening, finding nice restaurants and outdoor dining. The weather was perfect, and we walked back satisfied, had a good night's sleep, and awoke to more beautiful weather and a nice breakfast at the hotel. The building was amazing - stone stairways and passages. We will continue to talk about it as a highlight of our trip.

We stayed for two nights in a small shabby room desperately in need of refurbishment. Bathroom in particular was terrible with peeling paint, lousy shower and general feeling of grubbiness. Wifi only free in common areas otherwise 10 euros for 24 hours. Staff OK but not overly accommodating. A real shame as the building itself is full of character and the location is superb. There is a lift too.

My husband and I have just stayed here for a week. We loved this hotel for its charm and character. We were fortunate enough to get a good sized double room with its own terrace from which you can see the fenestrated tower. Its proximity to all the facilities that Uzes has to offer is great. However everything seemed to be shabby without the chic. The bathroom was in a poor condition and the shower virtually unusable. The outside lights were broken and everything was a bit dilapidated. The staff are very friendly and helpful, although it helps if you are able to speak a little French. Would we stay here again? Most definately but only because it is such a beautiful old building in a perfect location.

The Hotel’s premises are indeed very beautiful. The prices go accordingly. All the rest doesn’t make it to the premises or the prices. The room I was staying in is the third most expensive (130 euros per night), it is charming but it badly needs refurbishing. It has an appalling linoleum floor, the bathroom has a tub which is in a dire state (bits of paint coming off), you can’t fix the shower to the wall, so you’re obliged to hold it while showering. The separate toilet is quite large, but then the actual toilet is positioned in such a dum way that you can’t sit in it straight unless you’re a six year old (it’s squashed in the smallest corner of the ‘room’). I don’t know how much they charge for the breakfast, but it isn’t very good either, I had better ones in some Ibis (some, not all)... The staff are sometimes nice sometimes not at all. And, oh, be careful of your belongings when you leave your room (a colleague that had left her wallet in her room the whole day claimed to have found it short of 25 euros when she got back). There is a small pool on the terrace. The TV wasn't working during my stay.
I won’t go there again.
