Just returned from a short break with friends. Hotel was easy to find on main road into Uzes from Nimes. There is a large car park with barrier that is closed at night.
We arrived a little early but the staff said they would check if our room was ready. After a few minutes we were given our keys. The rooms were nice and bright and very clean. All the usual provided including a large flat screen tv. The beds were very comfortable and we heard no noise at all. A nice touch is that you can request a tea tray/kettle in the room if you wish.
There is a central area with a small enlcosed pool and a nice area for drinks.
There was a very cold wind the first day we were there and so we decided to eat in rather than venture into Uzes, 15 mins walk away. The restaurant is nice and bright and the meals were very good. Menus are 18E, 24E or a la carte. Breakfast is buffet and also good.
The staff were all very pleasant and spoke a little English.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

stayed here one night (formally mecure property now best western) nice hotel but a little far from town is approx 20minute walk into uzes. hotel is clean comfortable and up to date with nice pool (but not huge) and tennis courts. secure parking and bar/restaurant with reasonable continental breakfast. hotel is suitable for couple of night break to explore uzes and pont du gard area.

This hotel is now the Best Western Pont du Gard. It has had new mattresses, they're very good. Staff helpful. The walk into town for restaurant slightly tedious - but could have taken the car

We found the Mercure Uzes at about 3pm one afternoon. We had been visiting the streets of the old historic town of Uzes which is really a must visit. I will remember Uzes for being one of the best of the old mediieval villages that we visited in regional France.

The Mercure is a modern oasis on the edge of town with a decent room and ensuite facility. There is a nice swimming pool and courtyard area. We had a lovely relaxing dinner at the side of the pool under the trees with a nice glass of wine. We were tired and it was a perfect end to a day of siteseeing.

I wouldn't say that the rooms were anything special, ours had a view of the pool but for the price 69E the room facilities were good, it was clean and good value. Breakfast was a value buffet for 8.5E each which set us up for another day of driving and siteseeing.

The reception staff were terrific and helped us make a few forward bookings for Nice.

We stayed in a variety of accommodation in France, villas, farmhouses, hotels but for a modern tourist hotel in a small town the Mercure was good.
