My partner and I stayed at Hotel Balladins en-route to Barcelona, and we found the hotel to be perfectly good. They were very accomodating and met our every request and need, including storing a HUGE amount of very valuable luggage for us.

Iwona is a great member of staff and couldn'y have done more to assist us. The free wi-fi is also a bonus!

I would recommend this hotel if you need to be near the station and don't want to blow big dollar.

Stayed here after travel from Ipswich, England via Paris to perpgnan, while waiting for next morning's train to Argeles. It was clean, comfortable though we both found the mattress a bit hard.

Couldn't book in for journey back a week later as hotel fully booked. We went instead to the Hotel Paris Barcelone, almost opposite, which was 15 Euros per night cheaper, and included breakfast.

No particular problem with the Balladins, but overall service better at the Paris Barcelone, so next time I'll save a few euros and stay there in both directions. Would stay at Balladins again as second choice if required.

We used this hotel as a stopover on the way to spain and on the way back. We could not fault it. It was clean, breakfast was excellent and very good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We use the train station so could not find a better located hotel. Your readers that have complained should not expect 4* accommodation for the price, they should obviously pay more, then perhaps thay won't complain.I cannot find any critisism of this hotel.

The good thing about this hotel was the location, just a short walk from the train station, which was very convenient since we were travelling early the next day. But this hotel is much less than what I expected for the money. The rooms are very average, I would say similar to La quinta in the US. Its OK for a short night stay, but nothing more. I cannot believe this hotel is rated #4 in Perpignan.

I do have to say that the staff was friendly and accomodated our needs for a crib in the room, and were helpful in holding to an important document sent to me via Fedex before we arrived.
