A Very good, traditional old-fashioned French hotel. If you're arriving by train in Perpignan as I did it couldn't be more convenient as it is just across the road from the station - Dali's 'centre of the world! We were given a very friendly welcome (the owners seem to be French in spite of a previous review which suggests the hotel is British-owned) and had a room at the back (away from the noise of the trains) overlooking a lovely courtyard. The room was fine, with old wooden furniture and a large bathroom. The reception area is very spacious, with comfortable chairs and a view out onto the courtyard, and the walls decorated with posters from Perpignan festivals over the years.
The owner recommended Le Perroquet, just around the corner, for supper and we had a good, very reasonable meal there. Aperitifs, catalan salads, with sardine and blood sausage (boudin catalan) or with anchovies, simple main course of lamb cutlets and a carafe of local red wine, desserts and coffee came to less than 45 euros for two.
Overall, a very good place to stay and only a 15-minute walk into the centre.
