This hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly. A great thing about it is that breakfast is included. It may not be much but it really helps if you have an early train to catch. The room smelled a little moldy but it was clean.

The Hotel Paris Barcelone is a bit stuck in the 80's -- but it is just a fine spot when trying to make suitable connections from the south of France into Spain. The desk personnel were most accommodating giving me ideas of things to do during my brief stay in Perpignan. The included breakfast was a good way to start the day. The rooms are very floral in their design, but I had everything I needed for a comfortable night's stay. I arrived shortly after a record snowfall - so everything in Perpignan looked a bit magical as I walked around late one afternoon. I will be back to explore more of Perpignan and its environs.

Stopped here for a single night before catching the train back to UK via Paris. Avoided it on the way out after reading some other reviews, but Balladins was fully booked for our return date.

No need for any worries. 15 euros cheaper than the Balladins (just across the road) - and also included breakfast. old fashioned, but with character; friendly/helpful staff; very clean; breakfast simple but good.

Yes you can hear the trains/traffic - but thats because its next to the station!

Would definitely book here again - as first choice - on a similar trip.

We have just come back from this hotel and on checking TripAdvisor, I felt I had to write my own review.

The Hotel Paris Barcelona is indeed a quirky hotel with carpet on the walls but it was very clean and the staff we encountered were very helpful. Not much English was spoken but we got by with a mix of Franglais and sign language.

The breakfast was adequate bearing in mind it was included in the price of the room unlike many places we have stayed.

At no point did we find it creepy or smelly. The bed was comfortable and the hotel itself was quiet - although there was some noise from the restaurant next door until about 11.30pm.

It was obviously out of season when we visited but I would stay again. The price was reaonable for two people B&B in an ensuite room and it is ideally situated for the station.

It's a two star, station hotel which has seen better days (haven't we all...?!) - but as long as you accept it for what it is, quirks and all, you'll be happy enough with your choice.
