First of all, we traveled by train, so we have no knowledge about parking. Also, the hotel did not have a lift. We stayed in Perpigan only to use it as a jumping off point to other destinations: Carcassonne, Collioure and The Little Yellow Train along the Pyrenees. It is an understatement to say that the Hotel le Paris Barcelone is not plush. The area is cheesy, but safe. Quite frankly, we have to watch our budget, so we were glad to find a hotel that had rooms with a bath for less than $100. We're going to check Yes for whether we would recommend this place to friends, as we wouldn't want to deter someone from staying here if it would suit them. We stayed in room 101. One night my husband had difficulty sleeping due to the carrying-on beneath the window at the local bar. I slept through the whole thing. If you have more funds than we did, you are going to Perpignan as a destination in itself , and convenience to the train station is not important, find another place to stay. Whether or not you stay here, we would recommend dining at the Garrianne Restaurant for a very fine meal. It is a gem.

This hotel is appallingly bad - I was unfortunate to stay in August when the prices sky rocket. The place is so disorganised that at 2am some other people walked into our room as they had also been assigned it. We had a tiny room directly over looking the car park in front of the train station which unfortunately meant that it was exceptionally noisy at night and the management had run out of fans. The bathroom was missing tiles all over it - including one that fell off while I was in the bath.

We went expecting basic but I was expecting at least to feel safe. We stayed at Balladins a week later (across the road) which was considerably better for the same price.

Excellent for the station - we needed to get a train at 8.30am so the hotel was just what we needed.

The public rooms looked good - but the bedrooms were a little tired and could do with a bit of a spruce up. But they were clean and comfortable. One room overlooked a little courtyard and the other faced the station but there was little disturbance due to double glazing.

Good to have breakfast included which set us up nicely for our jounrey.

This hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly. A great thing about it is that breakfast is included. It may not be much but it really helps if you have an early train to catch. The room smelled a little moldy but it was clean.
