This should be a good place to stay, situated near the motorway but in a quietish area with views across the various road networks to the Rivesalte vineyards. It's about 6 miles from Perpignan centre. However, it leaves a lot to be desired. Though part of the Novotel group, it is franchised and this was used as the reason why the advertised Novotel weekend breaks were not available for our 4 night stay. We did negotiate a lower room rate, given the time of the year and the weekend. The hotel was virtually empty.
Rooms are OK with some recently refurbished. Staff at reception were rather frosty compared to those at the other 12 hotels we used on this trip to southern France. Staff in the restaurant were unattentive, except for the first night. At breakfast on Sunday, the waiter preferred to read the newspaper and so there was no hot breakfast or boiled eggs--the machine had not been switched on and the chef had not bothered to check the availability of advertised food. It was little better on the following day. We breakfasted next door at the Ibis on one day and found it not only better but more reasonably priced too!
Management needs to get a grip of this place and ensure better staff training.
There are several other hotels almost adjacent and these would be better bets.
