Booked in the hotel at 22.30 pm by Henri the receptionist that evening. The room provided to us was a double room but we had booked a junior suite. No problem. Apologised for error and given new room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to answer our every question providing directions, services etc in a very competent manner.
During our stay my wife developrd a problem with her foot and had to go to the local hospital. The only way for us to get around during our stay was to hire a wheechair which the hotel located for us and had it delivered at a very reasonable cost of 16 euros for the week. Without this my wife would have been more or less confined to the hotel.
On our last day there, although we were not leaving the hotel until 19.30 pm in the evening the hotel were happy for us to use the facilities of the hotel and I was able to shower and change before my trip home.
On arrival at the airport we found that our flight had been delayed until the next morning. The airline left everyone stranded and we were told that we could not stay at the airport overnight as the airport closed down at 22.00 hours. Mad panic as everyone was frantically looking for hotels to stay in that night. We rang the hotel to find Henri on duty and he was more than happy to accommodate us even giving us our old room back.
I will certainly be returning to this delightful hotel which has a great roof terrace pool and is located in a very quiet part of the city with a lovely park to walk through in the morning.
The only down point was that the restaurant is not open in July and August for meals in the evening but there again Perpignan has 123 restaurants and you should be able to find at least a few to your liking.

In June 2008, I booked 2 rooms (1 twin, 1 single) for 3 days in December but, due to a change in plans, I had to cancel the booking in July. This week (8 October), I find the hotel has charged 163 euros to my credit card. I have tried to contact the hotel through its website but it is all in French (no alternate languages but that's no problem) and it will not accept postal codes that include letters.

If I get my money back, I'll let you know.

We arrived at the hotel at 12. to be advised that the room was not ready and we could wait by the pool it would be about an hour and that they would come and get us when it was ready. We decided this did'nt seem to bad, after about an hour and a half of waiting we went to see what the hold up was, whilst waiting to speak to the receptionist an older gentleman was being told that there was a problem with his room and it was flooded? ( seems like the overbooking gremlin had raised it's ugly head again) the receptionist was tryinig to explain in broken english directions to the hotel that they had managed to squeeze them into...
I then asked if our room was ready to be told the cleaners were doing the best that they could, and it would probably be about 5pm? When I told her we were told 1pm she said you must have misunderstood - so I went back to the pool to continue to wait, my husband was watching the world go by from the rooftop and said to me (about an hour later) is'nt this that man again who had been given the directions to another hotel? When I looked it was I went down to see what was happening, he had been driving around and could not find the hotel she had found them, she was trying to explain and draw a map for him.I did feel realy sorry for them.
When I asked again about our room it was at last ready. When we opened the door we could'nt believe the room was grotty, the sheets were marked, the pillows were non existent the bathroom window was filthy dirty it was the pits, but as we were only there one night it had to do.
In my opinion avoid it if you can!

I took on board the experience of the previous reviewer and rang to confirm my booking for 3 rooms at this hotel. Again I had made my reservation well in advance via Venere and received e mail confirmation. On calling, I was told I would be called back, whereupon I was informed that the hotel was full and that we would be accommodated in the Hotel Kyriad instead.
This is unsatisfactory given that we made the booking over 3 months in adavnce. I dread to think what would have happened if we'd just trusted the booking and turned up on the day.
