Booked in the hotel at 22.30 pm by Henri the receptionist that evening. The room provided to us was a double room but we had booked a junior suite. No problem. Apologised for error and given new room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to answer our every question providing directions, services etc in a very competent manner.
During our stay my wife developrd a problem with her foot and had to go to the local hospital. The only way for us to get around during our stay was to hire a wheechair which the hotel located for us and had it delivered at a very reasonable cost of 16 euros for the week. Without this my wife would have been more or less confined to the hotel.
On our last day there, although we were not leaving the hotel until 19.30 pm in the evening the hotel were happy for us to use the facilities of the hotel and I was able to shower and change before my trip home.
On arrival at the airport we found that our flight had been delayed until the next morning. The airline left everyone stranded and we were told that we could not stay at the airport overnight as the airport closed down at 22.00 hours. Mad panic as everyone was frantically looking for hotels to stay in that night. We rang the hotel to find Henri on duty and he was more than happy to accommodate us even giving us our old room back.
I will certainly be returning to this delightful hotel which has a great roof terrace pool and is located in a very quiet part of the city with a lovely park to walk through in the morning.
The only down point was that the restaurant is not open in July and August for meals in the evening but there again Perpignan has 123 restaurants and you should be able to find at least a few to your liking.
