“Discreet Hideaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

No frills or fuss. Nice little family run hotel. Clean, tidy, quiet and close to all the action. Had no problem dealing with the children and were very friendly. Excellent restaurant - so popular we had to book it even though we were staying there. Not the most luxurious but better than the official 2 star rating.
Everything you need for very reasonable cost. Given the chance we would go back.

“Relaxed and friendly”

Delightfully relaxed and friendly little family-run hotel set back from the main drag, a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. Our suite had a Moroccan feel to it, which heightened the sense of a Mediterranean holiday. We didn't try the restaurant - there are so many other places to eat nearby.

Room Tip: Some of the balconies don't offer any privacy. It may be possible to request one that is private...

“Better than the official 2* rating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

This is a well placed hotel for a seaside break within easy distance of the seafront and restaurants. We were given a courteous welcome and offered the choice of the disabled room which we took, though we hadn't prebooked it,. It is quite spacious, though the bed seemed low
which might be problematic for someone completely wheelchair bound. The room is very close to the swimming pool which in September was no problem but might be noisy in the height of Summer. The air condioning was excellent and privacy was assured by an electric shutter. The room and ensuite were always very well cleaned and towels changed daily. We enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

“Disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

Having read all the reviews we thought the hotel would be great. The room was tiny, run down and overpriced. We had intended to stay for two weeks but left after four days. That, as far as we are concerned, says it all.

Room Tip: Best, if you can, to look in person before booking.

Mr. D. MC ...
Thank you for the constructive comments.
You chose when you book with booking.c, a twin room of 15 m², from Wednesday 31 to Friday, September 9 in the morning, or 9 nights (not two weeks). At the end of the first night you actually find that the room does not suit you, we have transferred into a series of 30 sqm with king size bed, and after two nights you have decided to leave. You asked us to shorten your stay after the storm alerts announced by Meteo France.
I fully understand that the decoration is not to your taste (after all, each his own) but I do not tolerate you discredit our institution.
The building and the rooms of your first days were built in 2002 and renovated in 2008, then you occupied during your second period is one of the last tranche of work carried out in April 2010, found that 15 m² or 30 m in two pieces, the dimensions are "tiny" is your choice, but is "run down" I do not let you say this is akin to defamation.

“Great atmosphere, food and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

We stayed at the hotel for five nights at the end of a family holiday. The town is a popular hoilday destination with an amazing beach and lots going on - excellent markets, free evening entertainment etc. It is a great base for exploring Carcassonne, Narbonne etc and there are a few local walks, but also vineyardsin abundance. Most of the holidaymakers were French with a few of other nationalities, but very few Brits. Most people seem to stay in the camping sites nearby. The cafes and restaurants in the main part of the town were what you would expect for a popular holiday destination - not cheap and not up to much, but the food in the hotel was great and good value. The staff are very kind and they work very hard indeed. The hotel is clean and the atmosphere really relaxed and extremely pleasant. Infortunately our spoken French isn't brilliant so we didn't get to know the staff as well as we would have liked.
