We stayed here for 3 nights and used as a base to tour around (Avignon/Orange/Chateau Neuf Du Pape) and was perfect. The owner was helpful, spoke great English and could not have been more welcoming. We left here on the Weds but returned to Nimes on Friday to return our hire car and had nowhere to store our luggage so we asked the owner if we could be very cheeky and store at Acanthe and he was more than obliging! We had room 21, right at the top with a nice rooftop view and very quiet. I suppose that for 62 euro (without breakfast) you can't expect a lot , but this room needs some tlc. Furnishings are shabby, the wallpaper is peeling in places and the bathroom flooring had a number of splits so it could not be properly cleaned. I find it difficult to understand why things must get so very worn out when their replacement cost is so low- how much is 3 metres of vinyl flooring?
On the plus side the bed was comfortable, the position great for the old town sights, and the service from the legendary Eric very helpful and unfailingly smiley.
Just spent a little money ,guys!

Centrally located but a bit difficult to find. Bi-lingual owner who was very helpful. He did say that parking around the hotel was not that safe and we would be better in a paid lot or he could park our car on property for 14 euros. Rooms only had a ceiling fan and a window, but the street noise was very loud with the window open. No Elevator.

We had a great sleep in our quiet room, and a full bathtub was nice too.
