The apartments are walkable from montpellier centre (15-20 mins) and reasonable value but the beds (at least in our room) were poor. The sofa bed forms the double bed in the main room with a single bed in the single bedroom. It should be the other way round with a double/twin the bedroom and the sofa bed for one/two in the lounge area. I queried this at reception (who were extremely helpful) and was told all the rooms are like this.
As a result we didnt sleep particularly well but in all other respects it was very good. Next time I would book somewhere nearer the centre and pay a bit more, though.

I'm ranking this as a 3 star, because that's what it is. That's not necessarily a bad thing. You can't really rank something a 5 star when you are expected to clean the toilet and take out the garbage yourself. But if you know what you're getting into before hand, it's a great little spot.

The location was farther from the central part of the city than I would have liked. It made for a bit of a long walk after the 3rd or 4th time going back and forth from the busier area. There was NOTHING in the immediate vicinity of the hotel other than residential buildings.

The room was a decent size, until the sofa bed was pulled out and then it felt tiny. If you are looking for a place to hang out and spend lots of time, this isn't for you. If you are going to be out and about and just plan on sleeping in your room, this isn't a bad place.

The staff were all nice and we had no problems with any of them.

No free wifi. Only paid internet in a front office for 3 euro per hour.

The air conditioning was the best I've ever had in a hotel room.

I would recommend this to anyone as long as they understand it's not a regular hotel, and there are absolutely no frills and that it's a decent distance from the core area.

This hotel was just what I wanted - no frills, but well priced, roomy and has a kitchenette equipped with hob, refridgerator and sink, with crockery and pans. The room smelled slightly of cigarettes and was not plush, but certainly comfortable enough. It has a sofa which is then opened out into a bed. The staff here very friendly and helpful, and the underground car park was only 6 euros. Was about a 10 minute walk to the main square, so it's well located if you're on foot too.

I booked this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor thinking it would be a good place to stay for a couple of days in Montpellier. When I booked it (through Hotels.com) the confirmation clearly stated that it would be a King Sized Bed. The day before leaving we decided to spend an extra day in Montpellier, so we called and booked the extra night. The receptionist was very friendly and asked if we would like a sofa bed or a king sized bed. We said we definitely wanted a king sized bed!

When we arrived we found that the room only included a fold out sofa bed - my boyfriend is very tall and there was no way on earth we could fit in that bed!

There was a weird smell in the lobby and you have take out your own rubbish every day! For the money I wasnt expecting luxury but this room was like a wardrobe! Dont stay here!! We went to the Ibis in Place de Comodie. Much better and not too much extra to pay!
